Copyright and ownership claims

Makers list their own work here. When something is listed that should not be, there are two sides to the process and both of them are people, so both are written down.

If your work has been listed by someone else

Send us a notice with a link to the listing, a description of the work you own, and a statement that you hold the rights. We act on complete notices. We do not act on a bare link with no explanation, because a removal on that basis takes a real person's livelihood off a shelf on nothing more than an assertion.

If a claim has been made against your listing

You will be told what was claimed and by whom. You can answer, and your answer goes back to the claimant. A listing taken down this way is not deleted — it returns to your own drafts, with its photographs and words intact, whatever the outcome.

Repeat claims

A shop that accumulates upheld claims loses its ability to sell here. That is a decision a person makes with the record in front of them, and it is explained to the maker rather than applied silently.
