We never hold your money

Buyers pay into your own Stripe account. The money is yours from the moment it moves, and there is no Batchnook balance for it to sit in while somebody decides when to release it.

Payouts run on Stripe’s schedule, in your name, to your bank. If we disappeared tomorrow, the payment you took this morning would still be yours.

The only per-sale price is the Batchnook platform fee on orders your own Batchnook storefront processes — never on a sale you make anywhere else. It is charged on the order total, including shipping, at the rate your plan sets, and it is taken out of the payout — your buyer never sees it and never pays it.

Card processing is Stripe’s, on standard US cards, per Stripe’s published pricing. That one is paid between you and Stripe; we never touch it.

Questions makers actually ask

Do I have to give up the shops I sell on now?: No, and nothing here touches them. A storefront of your own is one more place your work is for sale, on an address you control, and what you do everywhere else is unchanged.
Who holds the money?: You do. Buyers pay into your own Stripe account and payouts run on Stripe’s schedule, not on ours.
What happens if I leave?: You take everything. Materials, products, batches, orders and cost history export as JSON or CSV, free, on every plan, and the records stay yours after the storefront stops serving.
When does the marketplace open, and what if it never does?: We are not naming a day, because we will not publish one we cannot keep. Your shop works now, at an address that will not change, so nothing about it is waiting: if browse never opens, what you have is exactly what you have today.
Do I need my own domain or a website?: No. Your shop gets its own address here the day you publish it, and that address stays the same afterwards.
