For Big Cartel sellers
Open your own storefront alongside your Big Cartel shop
Keep selling wherever you already sell. A Batchnook storefront is another place your work is for sale, not a replacement for anywhere.
- A storefront at your own address, with your listings and your photos on it.
- One shipping rate, your policies, and a checkout buyers can use on a phone.
- Money paid straight into your own Stripe account.
Before you start, here is the honest version
Bring a file across — works today. There is no preset for this one yet, so we read your columns and show them back to you first.
- Big Cartel exports products as a CSV from your admin — that rail works now.
- Photos are not in the products export. You add them here, and we show you which products still need one.
- No marketplace gives you your buyers’ email addresses — nobody can import them. From here on, the people who buy from your Batchnook store are yours.
Getting your file out of Big Cartel
- Open your Big Cartel admin and go to Products.
- Choose Export, and download the CSV.
- Bring that file here. Nothing changes in your shop — the file is a copy.
Preview before you sign up — coming with the import rail
When the importer opens you will be able to drop your export here and see exactly what would come across, listing by listing, before you make an account. It is not open yet, so nothing here uploads.

Up and running in an afternoon
Setting up is something you do, not something you wait for. Every step is in the app the moment you make an account.
- Make an account and name your shop. Free to start.
- Bring your catalog across: the importer reads your file, maps the columns, and shows you a preview before anything is created. Not right? One tap undoes the whole import for the next 24 hours.
- Bring your past orders across the same way — a spreadsheet, matched to your products, previewed, and recorded only when you confirm.
- Set one shipping rate, write your policies, and press publish. Nothing goes live until you do.
What it costs to sell here
The only per-sale price is the Batchnook platform fee on orders your own Batchnook storefront processes — never on a sale you make anywhere else. It is charged on the order total, including shipping, at the rate your plan sets, and it comes out of the payout — your buyer never sees it and never pays it.
Questions
- Can I keep selling on Big Cartel?
- Yes. Nothing here touches your Big Cartel shop — the export is a copy, and your listings, orders and reviews there carry on exactly as they are. A Batchnook storefront is another place your work is for sale.
- Will my Big Cartel shop change?
- No. We never sign in to it, never write to it, and never contact anyone through it. You download a file yourself and bring it here.
- Can I bring my reviews across?
- No, and no one can. Reviews belong to the site they were left on, and a review a buyer wrote about a Big Cartel order is not a review of a purchase from your storefront. Presenting one as though it were would be dishonest, so we do not import them.
- What about my buyers?
- No marketplace gives you your buyers’ email addresses — nobody can import them. From here on, the people who buy from your Batchnook store are yours: their name, address and order history are in your account, exportable by you, and we never sell them or surface them to anyone else. They hold Batchnook accounts too, so we may write to them about Batchnook under consents they give us — your customer list stays yours either way.
- What if my shop has 500 listings?
- Then the file is longer and the import is the same. You map the columns once, the preview shows you every row before anything is created, and the whole import undoes in one tap for 24 hours. Nothing goes live until you do.
