Coming to the Shopify App Store

Batchnook for Shopify

Once the connection ships, you’ll link your Shopify store and every sale will cost itself — your period COGS and each product’s real margin updating on their own, from the recipes you already keep in Batchnook. No exporting orders, no month-end spreadsheet.

Automatic COGS and margin from your Shopify sales

When a sale happens in your Shopify store, Batchnook will cost it against your recipes — so your period COGS and every product’s real margin will update on their own. No exporting orders, no re-keying totals into a spreadsheet at the end of the month.

Your customers’ data never touches us

Batchnook will read your sales as products, quantities, and prices — never customer names, emails, phones, or addresses. It is the same promise the privacy policy makes in plain words: orders you record or import are stripped of customer identity before storage.

Built for makers, not resellers

Stocky counted finished stock you bought to resell. Batchnook costs what you make from raw materials — the wax, the clay, the silver, the jar — so candle, ceramics, jewelry, and bakery studios see true per-product cost, not just units on hand.

Read-only, and yours to end

Batchnook will connect with read-only access: it will read your catalog and orders to cost them, and never will change anything in your store. Disconnect anytime — and your costing history stays yours to export, always.

How the connection will work

Read-only in, costed on the way through — nothing leaves your store, and no customer data comes in.

  1. 1

    Connect read-only

You’ll approve a read-only connection to your Shopify store. Batchnook will be able to read your catalog and orders; it can’t change anything in your shop.

  2. 2

    A sale happens

Someone buys a candle on your Shopify store. The order will flow in as products, quantities, and prices — never a customer’s name, email, or address.

  3. 3

    It costs itself

Batchnook will cost the sale against your recipes at the moving-average cost you actually paid — the same average-cost method, disclosed on every report.

  4. 4

    Margins update

Your period COGS and every product’s real margin will move on their own. You reprice from numbers you can defend, not a gut feeling.

Coming from Stocky?

Shopify is retiring Stocky on August 31, 2026. The Shopify connection here is for your sales going forward — it does not import your Stocky history. To bring your old cost history across, you export it from Stocky as CSV and Batchnook maps the columns. There is no one-click Stocky import.
