Checking the lines a scan read

A scan lands in the review queue, not in your books. The header carries the vendor and date it read, the receipt photo beside them, and a running total of the parsed lines so you can hold it against the paper in your hand.

Each line shows the raw receipt text above what Batchnook made of it — name, quantity, unit, line total — and all four are yours to correct. Where a line looks like a material you already have, Batchnook says which one and how close the match is, and you decide: match it, create a new material, or skip the line.

Tax and shipping lines come in as their own group and are skipped by default. They are not materials, so they do not belong inside a material cost.

Accepting the lines writes them as purchases. Your average costs move, and the margin ripple plays: every product built on those materials, old margin struck through, new margin beside it.

The queue is closable and resumable — it remembers how many of the lines you have been through — and Home carries a row back to it while lines are waiting.
