What that message means
Batchnook keeps its messages short and plain.
Batchnook keeps its messages short and plain. Here are the ones you’re most likely to see, and what each one is telling you.
Signing in. “We couldn't send that code — check the email and try again.” means the code didn’t go out — check the address is right. “Too fast — give it a few seconds and try again.” means you tapped Resend too soon; wait a moment. “That code didn’t match. Codes expire after 10 minutes.” means the code was wrong or has aged out — ask for a fresh one.
Scanning a receipt. “We couldn’t read that receipt. Nothing was charged for a failed read, so try it again.” means the read didn’t land, and a failed read never spends one of your scans — retake it flat and in good light. “We couldn’t reach the server, so we couldn’t read that receipt. Nothing was saved. Check your connection and try again.” means you’re offline; nothing was half-saved. “Something went wrong on our end, so we couldn’t read that receipt. Nothing was saved. This one isn’t your connection. Try again in a moment.” means the fault is ours. Your signal is fine and there is nothing for you to fix, so give it a minute and try the same photo again.
Recording work. “We couldn’t log that batch. Check the recipe and try again.” and “We couldn’t record that order. Check the products and try again.” both mean the save didn’t go through — check the entry and try once more. Nothing partial is left behind.
Importing. “That file isn’t a CSV. Export your data as a CSV — not an Excel or PDF file — and choose it again, or paste it below.” means the file was the wrong type. “That import can’t be undone — some items are already in use, or the 24-hour window has passed.” means the one-tap undo has closed for that import.
Plans and billing. “That's the free plan's 3 products — everything you've costed keeps working.” means you’ve reached a Free-plan limit, and nothing you already have is lost. “Couldn’t open checkout — check your connection and try again.” means the web checkout couldn’t open — check your connection and retry.
Changing who owns the account. Every account has exactly one owner, and the owner can’t be changed or removed in the app. To rename your business, or move the account to a new owner, contact support from the email on the owner’s account — for safety we make that change only when the request comes from the owner.
